The bowls I create vary from small “display” pieces to larger ones that can be utilized for salad, fruit, and other daily needs.

These potpourri bowls are made of figured maple. Each comes with a bag of potpourri.

This fruit bowl is the largest I've turned yet. It is 17' in diameter x 4.5" tall. It is made out of a beautiful piece of figured box elder that has a combination of quilted grain and a streak of red.

This bowl is made of figured cottonwood. Though usually plain, this section of cottonwood has some iridescent colorful swirls that set it apart. 9" diameter x 4" high

This small, enclosed bowl is made of Hawaiian koa and purpleheart, with a strip of bleached maple veneer in between.

This bowl is made from a piece cottonwood root that was washed up on the shore of a lake here in Colorado. We picked it up on spring break some years ago. The shape of the root produced some interesting voids, in addition to the wonderful grain.

This bowl is made of a piece of gambels (scrub) oak that I cut down in my neighborhood. It was dead, and would have ended up in the firewood pile or the chipper. Now it has a new life in someone’s house. The decay that had already started made this piece difficult to turn, but provided for some beautiful colors.
